Some love stories come full circle, and Kim and Carl’s wedding at Flora Groves Farm was the perfect example of that kind of timeless love. Their wedding day felt intimate, meaningful, and full of warmth, even during a chilly Florida winter evening. Between the glowing fire pits, elegant black attire, and emotional family moments, this Seffner wedding was one to remember.

As a Florida wedding photographer, weddings like this are always special to document because they blend heartfelt emotion with beautiful details that photograph so naturally.
Kim and Carl first met earlier in life, but after going through previous marriages, life eventually brought them back together once they were both single again. Their story felt deeply rooted in timing, second chances, and genuine connection. Kim works as a school counselor and already had a connection to Flora Groves Farm through the venue owner, who had once been one of her students. That personal connection made the venue feel even more meaningful for their wedding day.

Flora Groves Farm was the perfect setting for their celebration because it combined classy elegance with rustic charm. The property offered beautiful outdoor spaces while still feeling intimate and welcoming. Their ceremony took place in the chapel area of the venue, where they shared a meaningful sand ceremony surrounded by family and friends. It was one of those moments where you could truly feel the emotion in the space.

The wedding design was timeless and elegant from start to finish. Kim and Carl chose a color palette of greens, whites, and touches of gold, which paired beautifully with the natural scenery of the venue. One of the most striking details was the all-black attire worn by the wedding party. It gave the day a classic and elevated look while still allowing the warmth of the venue and decor to stand out.
Their outdoor tented reception created such a cozy atmosphere for guests. Because the weather was cooler than typical Florida temperatures, fire pits were placed around the reception space, giving everyone a comfortable place to gather throughout the night. The reception decor also featured patterned tablecloth accents that added personality and texture to the design without taking away from the timeless feel of the wedding.

Another emotional detail from the day was the memorial table dedicated to Kim’s parents. It was a beautiful way to honor loved ones who could not physically be there while still making them part of the celebration. Moments like these are always important to capture because they tell the full story of a wedding day beyond just the portraits and decor.

As their photographer, one of my favorite parts of the day was helping create a relaxed experience where genuine moments could naturally unfold. From quiet emotional exchanges during the ceremony to joyful moments around the fire pits during the reception, the day never felt rushed or forced. Those authentic interactions are what make wedding galleries feel personal and timeless years later.
Flora Groves Farm continues to be one of the most beautiful wedding venues near Tampa for couples looking for a mix of elegance, intimacy, and rustic Florida charm. Between the scenic outdoor spaces, romantic chapel area, and cozy reception setup, it offers so many opportunities for meaningful wedding photography.
