Dylan and Sydney’s Flora Groves Farm wedding was the perfect mix of timeless style, thoughtful details, and a celebration that felt truly personal to them. From the shades of blue woven throughout the day to the garden setting they already loved, every part of their wedding felt intentional.

The two originally met in college at a bar, and years later they celebrated this next chapter surrounded by family and friends in Seffner, Florida. Even with rain in the forecast, the day remained joyful, relaxed, and full of meaningful moments.

As a Tampa wedding photographer, these are some of my favorite weddings to capture because the focus stays on the couple, their people, and everything happening and unfolding around them.
One of the reasons Dylan and Sydney chose Flora Groves Farm was how much the property reflected their lifestyle. They enjoy gardening at their own home, so the venue’s greenery and garden-inspired setting immediately felt like a natural fit.

It was also close to home while still providing the feeling of a private escape. For couples searching for an outdoor wedding venue near Tampa, Flora Groves Farm offers a mix of beautiful gardens, mature trees, a chapel-style ceremony space, and a sailcloth reception tent.
The property is a great example of how a garden-style wedding in Florida can feel relaxed and natural while still creating an elevated experience.
Florida weather can get unpredictable, and Dylan and Sydney’s wedding day brought plenty of rain clouds. Thankfully, the weather held out long enough for their ceremony to take place outdoors in the chapel area as planned.
Even when the rain returned later, Dylan and Sydney had such a great attitude about it. They were willing to head outside with me for portraits and simply enjoy the moment rather than worry about having perfect weather.

As a Florida wedding photographer, I’ve learned that some of the most memorable images happen when couples are willing to embrace whatever the day brings. A little rain doesn’t have to take away from beautiful wedding photography. Sometimes, it adds even more personality to the story.
Blue was carried throughout the entire celebration. The bridal party wore beautiful shades of blue, while Dylan wore a tan suit that complemented the softer color palette.
Sydney also incorporated several handmade details into the reception. Blue and white shells created by the bride added a personal touch to the tables, along with blue candles and tablecloths.

One of my favorite details was their classic white tiered wedding cake with elegant swan accents. Together, everything felt cohesive without being overly styled. The result was a luxury feeling Florida wedding that still felt intimate and approachable.
My approach to timeless wedding photography is never about making a wedding look like something it wasn’t. I want couples to remember the atmosphere, emotions, weather, and little details exactly as they experienced them.
Dylan and Sydney’s willingness to step outside in the rain created photographs that genuinely reflected their personalities and the spirit of their wedding day.
As some who has photographed weddings at Flora Groves Farm, the venue offers so much variety without requiring couples to spend their day traveling between locations. The gardens, trees, chapel area, and sailcloth tent all provide completely different backgrounds within one property. That allows more time for candid moments and less time worrying about logistics.
